Following a meeting with the School Council it was decided that our school charity for this year would be Macmillan. We will obviously keep you informed of any fund raising projects.

During the Spring Term:
In January as part of our Topic work Hidden Horizons came in to school - they did an Assembly for us, then all of the children throughout the school had a chance to study and make fossils. They returned in February to work with all the children studying Dinosaur Facts. Please click on this link to see some photos from their work with the children.
On January 26th Year 4 BOP Team went to help the Friends of Dean Road and Manor Road Cemetery with weeding and litter picking. Please click on this link to see some photos from the visit.
On February 2nd Year 2 Visited North Bay to study the sea and the waves, they thought about similes and adjectives they could use to write poems when they returned to school. Please click on this link to see some photos from the visit.
February 5th 2016 was Number Day, the children paid 50p to come school dressed in clothing with numbers on, they raised a total of £150 for the NSPCC.
All the children read the book 365 Penguins. In the morning the children carried out number activities based on the book and in the afternoon they all made a penguin to make a number line to be displayed in school. Please click on this link to see some photos from the day.
